Katie Richter '20 was presented the Kwan Yin Kindness Award today by Notre Dame Administration and Pam Vaccaro '64, the alumna that began this award last year. The award focuses on charity that begins at home and honors an individual that engages in consistent acts of kindness. Katie was nominated because she exhibits a non-judgmental stance of authentic loving-kindness, respect and compassion for all, especially those whom our culture pushes out to the margins. She is a young woman who has demonstrated, by her attitude and actions, an exceptionally kind and compassionate heart. Congratulations, Katie! 💙

The beloved S. Jan Berberich is celebrating her 50th anniversary as a School Sister of Notre Dame this year! August 2nd was supposed to be her jubilee celebration, but she was unable to have it due to current conditions. ND surprised her with a yard sign to congratulate her on this amazing milestone.
