It has already been a week since the juniors received their class rings! 💙💍 We are so happy we were able to safely celebrate together. Congratulations and welcome to the ND legacy, Class of 2022!

We are offering in-person shadow visits this spring for seventh graders interested in experiencing a day in the life of a Notre Dame student first-hand! Space is limited so that safety guidelines can be properly practiced. Head over to www.ndhs.net/visit to schedule your visit now!

ND women are confident. ND women are compassionate. ND women are Christian. ND women are leaders.
Today is International Women's Day! We encourage each woman in our community to celebrate their achievements, discover their passions, and empower the next generation today and every day — just like the ND women who have come before them!

Happy I 💙 ND Day! The junior class will be receiving their piece of the ND legacy tonight! 💍 Help us celebrate by direct messaging us a picture or tagging us in a post with your class ring. Be sure to set your privacy settings to public and use the hashtags #IheartND #ringday #legacyweek

Our Black History Month celebrations culminated with a special performance by our BHM committee today during Activity Period. They shared a traditional step dance routine with the rest of the student body before inviting everyone to join in a friendly dance battle. Thank you to our young women who worked so hard to share the culture and contributions of the black community with us all month long!

Like most things in 2020, our annual Senior Kairos Retreat didn't happen when originally scheduled. The word Kairos means "the right time" — and this retreat finally happened at God’s right time. The Class of 2021 returned to school today feeling closer to God and closer to each other. We are so grateful for the truly anointed experience they were able to have together before their last few months at ND.

The ND Art Club glazes soup bowls for the Empty Bowl Project each year. The project works to fight food insecurities at a local, community level and fill a food pantry in O’Fallon, IL. This year, Art Club donated 30 bowls! Great work by our students, transforming the world around them.

At the end of last month, several ND students participated in a local student organized march in place of the trip to Washington DC this year. It is inspiring to see our young women committed to the pro-life movement!

Congratulations to four of our talented students whose artwork was chosen for the Missouri Art Education Association (MAEA) Youth Art Month Capitol Exhibit! The virtual exhibit will run in March. We are so proud of you — Abigail Love '22 (Top Left), Samantha Ramay '21 (Bottom Right), Shelby Roeder '21 (Bottom Left) and Maya Wobbe '23 (Top Right)

Today is International #WomenInScience Day! Since 2015, February 11th has been promoted by the @unitednations as a day to recognize the critical role women and girls play in science. Notre Dame's science and technology curriculum supports equal access and participation so that our students can confidently explore #STEM-related fields during and after their time here.

Last week, our students celebrated Catholic Schools Week by collecting various items needed by ThriVe St. Louis — an organization that provides women with healthcare and pregnancy resources. Thank you STUCO and Campus Ministry for setting up a successful donation drive. ND filled the mobile healthcare van with new mother and baby items plus collected an additional $2,300! While here, several students were able to tour ThriVe’s van and learn more about how they support women and life.

25 of our students participated in the Dialogue for Change workshop developed by Diversity Awareness Partnership. The program sessions are "designed to foster vulnerable, growth-minded dialogue about race and racial justice by creating space for all voices and facilitating conversations." The goal is to illuminate and challenge bias while creating a call to committed, accountable and concrete action. After the dialogue, students said they felt heard, uplifted and excited for the future!

Due to inclement weather, Notre Dame High School will be closed today, Tuesday, February 9. Enjoy your day off! Please stay safe and warm.

ND celebrated the 35th annual “National Girls & Women in Sports Day” by honoring five seniors who signed their letters of intent to play sports at the collegiate level! Congratulations to: Allison Kaiser 🥎@quincy_u, Lydia Klutho 🏀@principiacollege, Sophi Lanzafame ⚽️@sbuniv, Mackenzie Thompson ⚽️@williamwoodsu, Abby Youngblood ⚽️@sbuniv

It's National School Counseling Week! We thank Notre Dame's Guidance & Counseling Department for the continued attention they give to each young woman of ND throughout her four years! An on-site clinical therapist is also a part of the team available to all students at no cost.

Happy Catholic Schools Week!

Calling all alumnae! What is one thing you wish you would have known as a freshman at ND that you know now? What is one piece of advice you would give your junior or senior ND self? 🤔 If you have a good answer and like making TikToks, send amcarroll@ndhs.net an email with the subject line: TIKTOK and find out how you can pay it forward...oh, and there might be a chance to win some swag for yourself too! 💙

Our beautiful campus covered with beautiful snow! ❄️💙

Just 10 days until the Class of 2025 starts their journey with Notre Dame!

Congratulations to Mary Newsham '21 who received the Martin Luther King Jr. Model of Justice Award this past Sunday! Mary is a young woman of deep conviction and faith. She has a passion for social justice and is not afraid to act and speak for the poor and oppressed. ND is very proud of her determination and enthusiasm for justice and service!
