Notre Dame High School would like to announce the hiring of Mr. Mark Bayens as our school President.
This is a return to Notre Dame for Mr. Bayens. He is a past parent (Jessica Bayens Mueckl ‘11) and he served as our Athletic Director from 2011 to 2020.
Mr. Bayens began his career as a teacher and coach in the Rockwood School District before joining Notre Dame as Athletic Director. He currently serves as the President of his high school alma mater, Bishop DuBourg High School. He has a bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Health from the University of Missouri – Columbia, a master's degree in Education from Maryville University, and a master's degree in Education Administration from Lindenwood University. Mr. Bayens and his wife, Cheryl, have four children. They are members of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Parish in South County.
Notre Dame High School and our school sponsors, the School Sisters of Notre Dame, are looking forward to the future with Mr. Bayens as our President.
He shared, “I am excited to return to the Notre Dame community where together we will continue educating confident, compassionate Christian women rooted in mission and tradition.”
Mr. Bayens will begin his new role at ND effective July 1, 2022.
