One application is used to apply for all scholarships funded by the Catholic Education Office, the Roman Catholic Foundation of Eastern Missouri and the Today & Tomorrow Educational Foundation. Incoming ND Freshmen Scholarships

Blessed Theresa Scholarship — Apply HERE

Awarded to three incoming freshmen who meet the following criteria: 

  • Selects Notre Dame as her first-choice school on the Archdiocese application

  • Core score is at or above 90th percentile on the standardized test taken in 7th and 8th grade

    Notre Dame accept Iowa Assessments, Stanford, MAP and Explore

  • Receives a 3.5 cumulative GPA in her core classes in 7th and 8th grade

  • Demonstrates an enduring commitment to community service

Betty Pfaff Legacy Scholarship — Apply HERE

In honor of Betty Pfaff '56 — Awarded to two incoming freshmen who meet the following criteria: 

  • Selects Notre Dame as her first-choice school on the Archdiocese application

  • Is a daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, sister or niece of a NDHS alumna

Betty Pfaff Visual & Performing Arts Scholarship — Apply HERE

In honor of Betty Pfaff '56 — Awarded to two incoming freshmen who meet the following criteria: 

  • Selects Notre Dame as her first-choice school on the Archdiocese application

  • Is involved in one or more of the following: creative writing, dance, music, theatre or visual arts.

    Must be able to submit a recorded performance or one original composition of art/writing

Other Scholarships Specific to Notre Dame

In addition to the financial aid process, Notre Dame High School offers several need-based scholarships. Many of these are provided by individuals and families with close ties to Notre Dame, and we are grateful for their ongoing commitment to our mission. Unless otherwise noted, scholarship recipients are selected by the President of Notre Dame High School in consultation with the Director of Finance. Timely completion of the online FACTS application is required for most. The need-based scholarships available are:

Alumnae Reunion Class Scholarship
Established in 2010, the Alumnae Reunion Class Scholarship Program is an opportunity for our alumnae to leave a lasting impact on Notre Dame. This fund annually awards variable, non-renewable scholarship(s) to student(s) of good character and quality academic work.

S. Susan Antonacci, SSND ’67 Memorial Scholarship
Established by the Antonacci family in 2001, this non-renewable $500 scholarship is awarded to a student that demonstrates leadership and involvement at Notre Dame High School.

Helen and Charles Bender Memorial Scholarship
Established by their children in 2011, this scholarship honors Helen and Charles’ commitment to Catholic education. A minimum of one $1,000 scholarship will be awarded annually.

John F. Bridwell Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2001 to remember John Bridwell, husband of Janet Suter Bridwell ’67 and father of Jaclyn ’95, Jessica ’96, and Julie ’01. One partial tuition grant of $1,000 is awarded each year to a Notre Dame student whose father is deceased.

S. Marie Vincent Brothers Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Betty Pfaff ’56 on August 5, 1998, to celebrate S. Marie Vincent’s Golden Jubilee as a School Sister of Notre Dame. This $500 scholarship will be awarded annually to a student with demonstrated financial need.

Christensen Retreat Fund
The Christensen Retreat Fund was established to remember Kim Christensen ’79 and her mother, Rosalie, and to provide retreat scholarships to students with financial need.

The Cook Family Scholarship
This scholarship was formally established on December 22, 2005, by Larry and Norma Cook to honor their three Notre Dame daughters: Lindsey ’02, Lisa ’04, and Leslie ’06. This variable, non-renewable scholarship is awarded annually to a student with documented financial need.

S. Mary Ann Eckhoff, SSND Memorial Scholarship
The Incarnate Word Foundation established this scholarship in 2009 to honor S. Mary Ann’s legacy to Catholic education in St. Louis. A minimum of one $1,000 scholarship will be awarded annually to a student demonstrating financial need.

Elizabeth Eveker Memorial Scholarship
As a memorial to Elizabeth (Class of 2006) who passed away in a car accident in 2005, the Elizabeth Eveker Memorial Scholarship was established from gifts made at the 2005 Notre Dame Dinner Auction. An annual, non-renewable scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded to a student with demonstrated financial need.

Faculty and Staff Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship, established and supported by the Faculty and Staff of Notre Dame, provides a non-renewable $1,000 scholarship each year to a student with documented financial need.

Kathleen Ann Gau ’59 Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2013, this variable, non-renewable scholarship is awarded each year to a student of good moral character and quality academic work

Herberholt Business Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of two sisters, Marie Herberholt and S. Margaretta Herberholt, SSND. Their brother, Vincent, wanted to honor Marie, a successful businesswoman, and S. Margaretta who taught business at Notre Dame for many years. This variable, non-renewable scholarship will annually help one or more students who demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in business after Notre Dame.

Keli Hoff Memorial Scholarship
The Keli Hoff Memorial Scholarship was established to remember Keli Hoff ’98 who was killed in a car accident on August 1, 1998. Each year, a minimum $1,000 non-renewable scholarship will be awarded to a student in financial need.

Marianne Dickhaus Knaup ’40 Volunteer Service Award
Established by Warren and Marianne Knaup in 1996, the Knaup Service Award is a $1,000 scholarship awarded annually to a junior or senior demonstrating outstanding service to Notre Dame.

The Lily and Hazel Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2009 from the estate of Marjorie Pippie, this annual, renewable scholarship of at least $1,000 is awarded each year to an incoming freshman who demonstrates financial need and a commitment to academics.

Maria Lupo Memorial Scholarship
Maria Lupo, an eighth-grade student at SMMA who died in December 1993, looked forward to attending Notre Dame High School as a member of the Class of 1998. Maria’s deep desire to attend ND prompted her family and friends to lovingly establish this scholarship in her memory. A $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually to an incoming freshman who is a member of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque parish.

Marian Scholarship
Established by an anonymous donor in 1996, the Marian Scholarship annually awards a $1,000 non-renewable scholarship to a sophomore, junior, or senior with documented financial need.

Jerry Matejka Award
This variable, non-renewable scholarship is awarded each year to an individual who contributes significant time and effort to the Theater Department at Notre Dame. Recipients are selected by the Fine Arts Faculty in consultation with the President and Director of Finance.

Frank and Fran McAllister Scholarship
This scholarship was created in 2007 by Mary Lee McAllister Block ’63 in gratitude for her parents. Each year, a partial tuition grant of $1,000 will be awarded to a student with documented financial need. McDermott Flood Fine Arts Award A $250 scholarship will be awarded each year to a junior who shows creative promise in one or more areas of the fine arts (drama, music, dance, or visual arts) and intends to pursue one of the fine arts in post-secondary studies. Recipients are selected by the Fine Arts Faculty in consultation with the President and Principal.

S. Rosemary “Mary Alphonse” Muckerman, SSND Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was formally established on May 17, 2004, by Aloys and Carol Litteken to honor the legacy of S. Rosemary. A non-renewable $1,000 scholarship will be awarded annually by the President based on demonstrated financial need.

Ai Nakasaku Leadership Scholarship
Established in 2013 by the Nakasaku Family, this scholarship honors Ai Nakasaku, the first Japanese exchange student from Notre Dame Jogakuin High School in Kyoto, Japan to Notre Dame High School. This non-renewable $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a student who demonstrates a desire to use her ND education to make a difference in the world.

Bridget O’Donnell Memorial Scholarship
Established by Patrick and Kathleen O’Donnell in memory of their daughter, the Bridget O’Donnell Memorial Scholarship provides one needs-based $500 scholarship annually. This scholarship can be renewed if the student’s need persists.

The Lorenz and Elizabeth Pfaff Memorial Scholarship
Betty Pfaff ’56 formally established this scholarship on August 22, 2002, to honor her parents, Lorenz and Elizabeth Pfaff. This variable, non-renewable scholarship will be awarded annually to a student with demonstrated financial need

The President’s Scholarship
This scholarship was formally established in 2005 by Betty Pfaff ’56. Each year, a one-month scholarship will be awarded to a Notre Dame student with a demonstrated financial need.

Rose Schumacher Memorial Scholarship
The Schumacher family established this scholarship in 2013 to remember Rose and assist young women in pursuing a Catholic education. A minimum of one $1,000 non-renewable scholarship will be awarded annually.

St. Jude Scholarship
Established in 2013, this variable, non-renewable scholarship is awarded each year to a student or students that demonstrate a financial need.

Jim Venker, Sr. Memorial Scholarship
The family of Jim Venker established this scholarship in his memory to assist students with financial need to obtain a Notre Dame education. A $1,000 non-renewable scholarship will be awarded annually to a student with financial need. No other criteria such as high grades, leadership qualities, or service are required.

Margaret Walsh ’45 Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Ed Walsh in 2005 to remember his wife, Margaret Hoppmann Walsh ’45. Each year, this $500 scholarship will be awarded to a student who emulates Margaret’s values. When possible, it should be given to the daughter of an alumna.

Barbara Rasure Wesling Zoellner ’62 and Helen Rasure Memorial Scholarship
A minimum of one $1,000 non-renewable scholarship will be awarded annually to a student with documented financial need.
