Friday, Feb. 26, 2010 - Rebels Capture 3rd Straight District Title! Beat DuBourg 37-29!! Advance to State Sectionals on Wednesday to Play St. Francis Borgia at Jefferson CC in Hillsboro - 6:00pm

Great defense and clutch FT shooting down the stretch propelled the Rebels to their 3rd straight Class 4, District 3 Championship on Friday night at DuBourg against the Top seeded Cavaliers. The Rebels held the Cavs to only 10 second half points and zero fourth quarter field goals to help insure the win. Offensively, the Rebels got four 1st half baskets from Abby Gasperoni and five late FTs from Gabby Reppell to help clinch the Title. Sam Goodman, Michelle Auer, Jacqueline Sewester and Christina Rohde all scored points and contributed keys defensive stops for Notre Dame.

Wednesday's Sectional game starts at 6:00 with the winner advancing to the State Quarterfinals at Farmington HS on Saturday, March 6 also at 6:00pm. See you there!

2008-2009 Recap
A very young, energetic Notre Dame basketball team had another great season in 08-09. Led by lone senior Ashley Giffin (DePauw University), the Rebels fashioned a 16-13 record capped off by their second consecutive District Championship! Giffin and sophomore guard Michelle Auer led the Rebels in rebounding and scoring respectively, and each earned end of season All-Metro recongition. In addition, Giffin, Auer and sophomore Gabby Reppell received All-Conference honors. Check back in the fall for the Rebels' 2009-2010 schedule.
